Christmas survival

Well, we survived Christmas!  The last of the family just left and we actually had a great time.  We had a barrage of people over a two day period that encompassed all of Scott's direct family.  Christmas dinner was salmon and a really yummy sweet potato casserole along with a spinach salad.  The boys had a blast with their cousin with activities including everything from playdoh shaping to soccer in the front yard and a back country hike through the backyard woods.

Scott's parents did particularly well this trip.  There was minimal smoking and the energy levels were high and positive.  I think the kids really enjoyed spending time with them and are looking forward to the next time they see them this summer at the beach.  Nora is as sweet and innocent as ever; sometimes it makes me think that I have exposed my boys to a bit too much of the "real world".  It is what it is though.

Overall they're good kids.  We do need to work on manners and being gracious a bit  I really have a tough time teaching this and feel often times as though I don't have the patience I really need to deal with it.  I am many times embarrassed by the way my children handle situations, each other, and others around them.  How do you teach graciousness? Manners? Relating to adults and peers?
